  BACKGROUND  PANS

 

Six Bass Pans

These instruments occupy the whole drum. They provide very low bass lines and accompanying harmonic foundation to the orchestra. With a total of 18 notes it provides the completed depth of the musical arrangement.

 

 

 

 
Tenor Base Pans (Style 1)

The tenor bass pan set also referred to as the four bass. These carry high bass lines with an average of 24 notes. They are used to add clarity to the lower bass lines and also they are used to accompany lower middle pans with specific melodic lines. These have an average of 28 notes
